Warpaint album cover

The dreamy psychedelic rock band Warpaint seems primed to ascend to new levels of notoriety this year with the released of its long-anticipated (and highly anticipated) self-titled sophomore effort, the follow-up to Warpaint’s ace 2010 debut The Fool. We’ve heard singles “Love Is To Die” and “Biggy,” and now the whole album is out there on the internet for your full immersion. There’s an amazing amount of new music and news emerging today, but you’ll kick yourself later if you let this fantastic record get lost in the shuffle. Check it out at NPR.

Warpaint is out 1/21 via Rough Trade.

  1. And don’t listen to it on shuffle mode too : )
After a few listens, it sounds like they took an even more atsmopheric approach, even more Radiohead-ish sometimes, a bit of Massive Attack also, but mosly Warpaint-ishly great. Also, if you have any chance of seeing them live, buy a ticket now. They’re incredible.

  2. Gorgeous.

  3. It’s definitely a grower.

At least three listens for it to click in.

  4. 2014, take me now.
