Last year, 7 Days Of Funk, the retro synth-funk duo of Snoop Dogg and Dâm-Funk, released a self-titled album full of music that explicitly recalled the music they grew up on. The videos, for “Faden Away” and “Hit Da Pavement” and “I’ll Be There 4U,” went in heavy on the period-specific signifiers. But the duo’s new “Do My Thang” clip focuses on some more timeless pleasures: Dudes creating music in a studio, dudes performing said music against stark backgrounds, girls. 7 Days Of Funk is out now on Stones Throw.
