Fort Romeau - Her Dream

The London producer Fort Romeau has an evocative, atmospheric take on house music that echoes both the genre’s primal mid-’80s Midwestern psychedelic computer-funk beginnings and the young Aphex Twin’s theoretical early-’90s take on same; his 2013 track “Stay True” was a personal favorite. Later this month, he’ll release a new EP called Her Dream, and the title track is a beautiful, twinkly seven-minute sprawl. Listen to it below.

The Her Dream EP is out 3/17 on Live At Robert Johnson.

  1. Fort Romeau doesn’t disappoint. This sounds somewhere between the really gorgeous stuff on Kingdoms (one of my favorite dance albums of 2012) and the more techno-based sounds of the Stay / True EP. Can’t wait for the release.
