2014 Tibet House Benefit Concert

Sufjan Stevens has been known to help out the National in the studio (he’s appeared on all their albums since 2007′s Boxer) and on stage (he guested on a killer live version of “Afraid Of Everyone” on Letterman). That partnership continued at Carnegie Hall last night during the Tibet House US benefit that also saw Iggy Pop sitting in with New Order. Sufjan joined Matt Berninger and the Dessner brothers for orchestrally infused renditions of “Vanderlyle Crybaby Geeks,” “This Is The Last Time,” and “I Need My Girl.” Watch all three of those songs below.

    • yep. i was there. one of the most amazing nights of music by far. Nico also did a piece with Philip Glass. and Patti Smith played “perfect day” in honor of Lou Reed.
