The Hold Steady - Teeth Dreams

Earlier this week, I posted a Premature Evaluation of the Hold Steady’s excellent new album Teeth Dreams, but there was one slight problem with it: None of you motherfuckers could hear the album yet. It hadn’t leaked, and it wasn’t streaming online; the only songs you could hear, in their studio forms, were “I Hope This Whole Thing Didn’t Frighten You” and “Spinners,” neither of which is even close to being the best song on the record. Well, the album continues to absolutely rule, and now you can hear the entire damn thing. It’s streaming on iTunes. Take advantage.

Teeth Dreams is out 3/25 on Washington Square.

  1. All that link does is launch iTunes. From there I can’t find it. Sup?

  2. Actually it did leak a few days prior to your premature evaluation. I hate to do this to you Tom, but

  3. it did leak before this past saturday

  4. I’d like to start off by saying this is way better than Heaven is Whenever. But man, they produced the shit out of this album. I saw them play a few of these songs live at SXSW, and I gotta tell ya, the recordings filed the edges right off. If I didn’t already know some of the great lines in these songs, I would’ve glossed right over them. The guitars are also much more subdued than they should be. These songs fucking rock live.

But just to reiterate, it’s WAY better than Heaven is Whenever, and I am enjoying it quite a bit.

  5. it keeps telling me “this station is unavailable”…wth? is it because im in australia or..?

  6. I’m pretty disappointed. I’m not sure I even like this as much as “Heaven is Whenever”
