The Antlers - "Hotel"

Slow-swelling Brooklyn indie trio the Antlers will unleash the new album Familiars next month, and after sharing a video for the opening track “Palace,” they’ve let the world hear a second track from the album. “Hotel,” the latest, is a moody churn that stays very much within the rainy-day vibe of “Palace.” It’s got lots of piano and falsetto and slow, creeping sadness, and if you like this band, you will probably like it. Listen below.

  1. Granted I never had the emotional attachment to Hospice that some people do, but Familiars might be my favorite album from these guys. And this song is great.

  2. What a beautifully sad tune. Between this and “Palace” it sounds like this will be the perfect album to play on rainy days.
