After his past 12 months of absolute dominance, Pharrell is now the type of pop star who gets to appear on late-night talk shows and do things other than perform his new single. Last night, Pharrell was a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live, and he hit the trifecta: Interview, performance, goofy comedy bit. In the goofy comedy bit, he and Kimmel competed to see who could take the most two-person selfies on Hollywood Boulevard in 30 seconds. The two took very, very different approaches. Pharrell also sat for an interview, discussing his failed attempt to work with Michael Jackson and Kimmel’s appearance in the “Happy” video. And he also took to Kimmel’s outdoor festival stage, singing a Miley-free version of “Come Get It Bae,” one of the standouts from his G I R L album. Watch all of it below.
G I R L is out now on Columbia.
