Weird Al Yankovic on Conan

Great American “Weird Al” Yankovic released his new album Mandatory Fun this week, and he’s been blitzing us with new videos since Monday. The first of those was also the best: “Tacky,” Yankovic’s celeb-heavy take on Pharrell’s “Happy.” And when Yankovic appeared on Conan last night to perform the song, he gave an inspired performance that took the video’s single-take aesthetic as its starting point. The performance started backstage, with Yankovic strutting through the entire Conan operation, without breaking character or losing his way, as a single camera captured his journey to the stage. Good lord, this guy is fun to watch. Check out the performance below, and make sure you keep watching until the end.

Mandatory Fun is out now on RCA, and you can stream it here. Was that Martin Short?
