On Eight Houses, the new album from the Brooklyn duo She Keeps Bees, the band’s fellow borough resident Sharon Van Etten shows up to add guest vocals to two songs. One of those songs is “Is What It Is,” and we’ve already posted that one. The other is “Owl,” a soft-focus indie-folk slow-burn with a noirish horn section that reminds me of Morphine. The song is the sort of thing you’d imagine hearing in a smoky bar, if smoky bars still existed, and you can stream it below.
