While everyone’s still waiting for a Jawbreaker reunion (and getting confused by Jawbreaker Reunion), ex-Jawbreaker/Jets To Brazil frontman Blake Schwarzenbach has just shared a really lovely new solo track, “Sanity Is Waiting.” Tendrils of guitar and subtle electronics gently entwine under Schwarzenbach’s understatedly emotive vocals and some cryptic but lyrical spoken word passages, coalescing into a warm glow of familiarity that’s all too easy to fall into. It’s not clear what the song is from — a one-off single release or a new solo album or what — but whatever the case is, I’m glad it’s in my life now. Listen below via BrooklynVegan.
