We all know that Kanye West thinks that his new album SWISH is “the best album of all time” and that it’ll be out on 2/11. And now it looks like he’ll be unveiling the album in unprecedentedly grand fashion. As Pitchfork points out, West will debut the entire album live 2/11 at Madison Square Garden, and that show will be broadcast live to movie theaters around the world. A thread on Reddit found the show listed on the websites of various global theater chains.
It seems that the show will double as the launch for the third season of West’s Yeezy clothing line. According to one theater listing, it’ll include a performance from the artist Vanessa Beecroft, who also helped out with the last two Yeezy launches. And West also broadcast those last Yeezy launches in theaters and used them to premiere new songs: “Wolves,” with Sia and Vic Mensa, at season one, and “Fade,” with Ty Dolla $ign and Post Malone, at season two.
The SWISH broadcast will go live at 4:00pm on 2/11 according to Ticketmaster. Tickets go on sale 1/29, with a pre-sale tomorrow (1/27).
