Florence And The Machine - "No Light, No Light" Video

The absurdly overdramatic video for Florence & The Machine’s Ceremonials wailer “No Light, No Light” features a crystal skull, a voodoo doll, a weird masked contortionist-dancer guy, a kids’ choir, and maybe the most epic stagedive in recorded history. It is a truly ridiculous piece of work. Watch it below.

Ceremonials is out now on Island/Universal Republic. This is the third video taken from the album, following “What The Water Gave Me” and “Shake It Out.”

  1. Three singles is a lot for an alternative rock album that’s only been out for about a month. I was actually expecting “Shake It Out” to catch on a much bigger way, so I’m surprised they’re already moving along without having given it that chance.

  2. This is a sweeping ,epic sound and I do like the intro. I agree the video could be a bit more understated and elegant to go with her style. She’s almost there, I expect her next video should be in a better alignment with her sound. So far , the new music I’ve stumbled upon thanks to Stereogum mostly lately has been better than I expected.

I’m a new music blogger on the scene. I expect to trash some bands for being unoriginal, boring or just not enjoyable to listen to despite what the media may push .
