Last November, we cited the avant garde electronic pop of local duo Zambri on their EP Glossolalia (Kanine Records), further going as far to label them a Band To Watch. As the sisters Cristi Jo and Jessica Zambri prep their debut LP House of Baasa, today we have the first single from that release, “ICBYS” (i.e. “I Can Believe You Said”). It’s a glowing, uptempo morsel of synth pop, exuding gothic darkness at the fringes of its sonic universe. Download it after the jump.

House of Baasa is out 4/10 on Kanine and the “ICBYS” single is available on iTunes. Zambri is also hosting a giveaway where, if you can correctly decipher the lyrics to “ICBYS”, post them at their Facebook page and the artist-picked winner will receive a signed copy of the Glossolalia vinyl.
