why australia? they have off-shore migrant processing centres that are barely better than concentration camps. if you're going to flee the USA's grim administration you could pick a country that actually has different politics? i mean new zealand is right next door...?
no way, i was there, it was breathtaking. a lot of newer songs but they sounded stunning and the show is a visual spectacle too, so immersive and psychedelic. i was there with a big group of friends who've never seen her and a few who hadn't even heard the new album and they loved it, a few of them in tears. and incredible night.
scatter heart is some of her best minimalist string arrangements. it's devastating. the whole selmasongs album is absolutely incredible. i just relistened to it now and was blown away.
telegram is like an actual album in it's own right though, i don't think you'd even need to have heard the originals to appreciate it, it's just gorgeous. bastards on the other hand is more like just a playlist of remixes.
i don't get why it being a soundtrack doesn't count, cos apart from the overture, they are all songs... it's my first bjork record and a record that changed my life...
this stuff really bugs me, three years is not that long between albums. we've been weened off super commercial albums that roll out in a year and now the normal time is seen as a burden. reminds me of how everyone makes all these jokes and memes about frank ocean but honestly 4 years between albums isn't THAT long.
