Watch Franz Ferdinand Play New Songs, Cover Donna Summer In Ireland

Franz Ferdinand haven’t released a new album since Tonight, more than three years ago, but we’re seeing indications that they could have something new in the works. On Saturday night, the band played in Limerick, Ireland and played four new songs: “Right Thoughts,” “Brief Encounters,” “Fresh Strawberries,” and “Trees & Animals,” all of which have the sort of full-blooded postpunk strut that you’d want from a new Franz track. They also honored Donna Summer, who died last week, by playing a short cover of the great “I Feel Love.” Watch some good-quality fan-made videos of all of those below.

No word yet on a new Franz album, but it can’t be much longer now, can it?
