Foo Fighters were profiled by Anderson Cooper for yesterday’s episode of 60 Minutes. The newsmagazine sat down with Dave Grohl and the rest to talk about their ambitious Sonic Highways project, with an emphasis on the TV show over the new album. Cooper dubs their exploration of America’s musical roots “unlike anything any rock band has ever attempted.” The show follows them around during their recording sessions in New Orleans, and catches up with them a few months later during post-production.
