Porcelain Raft has shared a new song called “Closed Eye Vision,” a short and sparse piano ballad that gently picks up steam throughout. Mauro Remiddi sounds as though he’s singing out into an abyss, with his fists clenched and eyes closed tight to avoid breaking down completely. The song is accompanied by some visuals of rolling plains and windmills. Here’s how Remiddi introduced it: “A little desert prayer I recorded with one mic and a piano. Something about Joshua Tree, Don Quixote and Dinosaurs.” Porcelain Raft’s last full-length release was 2013’s Permanent Signal, though this seems to be a one-off and not part of a new release.
