Bandit are a trio from Nashville who play slow, heavy, meditative indie rock. They’re not shy about slathering on the reverb or switching up their dynamics, moving from lullaby incantation to post-hardcore slow-motion fireworks. But they also have something special: The voice of frontwoman Angela Plake, whose clean, clear, swoony alto is so rich and evocative that she could probably find more aboveground work in Nashville if she really wanted it. The band’s debut album Of Life is out later this month. Below, listen to the lovely single “Losing In A Sense.”
