In a few short years, the producer Lee Bannon has gone from making dusty throwback rap beats to foggy, dystopic jungle music to ominous experimental synth-drone. His new album Pattern Of Excel is coming out this summer, and he says it’s the last thing he’ll release under that Lee Bannon name. We’ve posted first single “Artificial Stasis,” and now he’s shared another track, “Disneµ Girls.” It’s an instrumental track built around a lazily picked acoustic guitar, and it would be pretty if not for this sticky, ominous, weirdly discomfiting Twin Peaks/Angelo Badalamenti haze hanging over everything. Listen to it below.
Pattern Of Excel is out 7/10 on Ninja Tune.
