Chazwick Bundick just released the power-poppy new Toro Y Moi album What For? a few months ago, and he put out an album of dance music as Les Sins just a few months before that. But rather than taking a well-earned break, he’s been spending the past couple of weeks putting out loose tracks like the trap-inflected “room for 1zone” and the Kool A.D. and SAFE collab “2Late.” Both were uploaded to his SoundCloud with the hashtag #samantha and a picture of an unknown woman covering her face with her hand, and now he’s given us another new track in the same fashion along with the brief note “forgot to send this to mastering… :/.” “That Instead Of This” is a drizzly, late-night instrumental number briefly streaked with searing neon synth, and you can hear it below.
