Band To Watch graduate Doe Paoro will release her ANTI- debut After next week, and she shared another song from the project today. It’s an album about rebirth, and it follows Paoro’s move from NYC to LA (with several stops at Justin Vernon’s Wisconsin recording studio in between). Here’s how she explained the creeping-then-soaring electronic soul track “Hypotheticals” to Flaunt:
I think one of the most true things I know about relationships is what makes it hard to walk away from a person is that you know from experience that every person you’ve ever met is 100% unique. When you walk away from that person, you’re giving up that window to the world. It’s that singularity that’s painful to say goodbye to.
After is out 9/25 on ANTI-.
