London producer Oli Horton is Dreamtrak, and his sound consistently lives up to that name: sleek, elegant and hazy. “The Tide” is still my favorite track from him, but “Control 2″ comes close. It channels a squelched funk-pop vibe and Amateur Best’s smoky vocals mixed in blunt, AutoTuned fragments with the chirpy house-influenced production. Horton told The Fader, who premiered the track, that “Control 2″ is the follow-up to an unreleased part one simply titled “Control,” that we should get to hear soon. Interestingly, though, the second track is the one that made it onto Horton’s self-titled EP. Listen below.
