Last night, the Kinks’ Ray Davies and Dave Davies ceased their legendary fraternal bickering long enough to share a stage for the first time in almost 20 years. As Pitchfork reports, Dave was playing a solo show at London’s Islington Assembly Hall when he brought out his brother for a surprise reunion, with the two of them performing the Kinks 1964 classic “You Really Got Me” together. Although that 50th anniversary reunion never ended up happening last year, the Davies brothers have actually been on fairly good terms for a while now, and this can only bode well for the possibility of an actual full-fledged reunion.
