Hudson Mohawke Says He Hasn’t Been Paid For Drake & Kanye West Beats, Threatens To Leak Them

For years now, the UK beatmaker Hudson Mohawke has been working as an in-house producer at Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music label, making tracks for Kanye, Pusha T, and others. Most recently, he’s shown up in the credits a number of times on West’s new album The Life Of Pablo. But as Pitchfork points out, HudMo claims, in a recent and since-deleted tweet, that West and fellow rap heavyweight Drake haven’t been paying him for his work, and he also said that he was going to leak those tracks. Here’s the screengrab:

Since deleting that tweet, HudMo has said that he isn’t actually going to leak the tracks because it would cost him too much money. He seemed pretty OK with the idea of someone stealing his laptop, though:

Maybe we’ve heard our last HudMo/Kanye collab, but we’ll always have “Mercy.”
