Bitchin Bajas and Bonnie Prince Billy’s collaborative album Epic Jammers And Fortunate Little Ditties is out now, and although the video for “Despair Is Criminal” is not very compelling, because Drag City doesn’t upload its releases to streaming services, it represents the rare chance to hear something from this album online. The song finds Will Oldham at his most abstract and drowsy, his weary vocals floating atop a shapeless ethereal drift. Along with the screensaver-like visualizer, it might put you in a trance.
