Thom Yorke, Nigel Godrich Share Petition For Second Brexit Referendum

Brexit is happening. The UK just voted to leave the EU in a referendum on Friday, with 52% in support of an exit and 48% to remain and a voter turnout of 72.2%. A whole lot of people are not so happy about that decision, however, including Radiohead’s Thom Yorke and Nigel Godrich. The band’s frontman and producer have both tweeted out a link to an official petition calling upon the British government to implement a rule that if the remain or leave vote is less than 60% based a turnout less than 75% there should be another referendum.

As of now, the petition has already reached 1,636,059 signatures. The government responds to to all petitions that get more than 10,000 signatures, and Parliament considers all petitions that get more than 100,000 signatures for a debate.
