Two weeks ago, I watched Beach House play their first-ever festival-headlining performance, closing out the main stage on the first night of the Pitchfork Music Festival and absolutely owning their moment, sounding grand and majestic. It probably won’t be their last time headlining. And this morning, Beach House have a new video for “The Traveller,” one of the songs from Thank Your Lucky Stars, the second of the two albums that they released last year. The new clip is a strange, experimental affair, one that reminds us that Beach House are still essentially underground art-school kids. The clip shows soft-focus, digitally-distorted images of (I’m assuming) Victoria Legrand, dressed in red and looking like an ’80s-noir femme fatale. Check it out below.
