Earlier this month, Arcade Fire’s Will Butler released Friday Night, a new album of live performances that includes five new songs. One of those new songs is “Friday Night,” and Butler just shared a music video for it. Butler stars in the clip along with his wife and son, and it starts out with the three of them in a domestic idyll, eating sandwiches together. Later, we see what happens when his son, now played by the actor and comedian Zack Willis, runs out of the house and throws a gigantic tantrum. The whole thing is a strange and sweet vision. Jo Firestone directed the video, and you can watch it below.
Friday Night is out now on Merge.
