Paris Jackson, the 18-year-old daughter of Michael, has lived about as far from the public eye as you can live if you’re the child of one of the most famous people on the planet. But Jackson recently gave her first-ever in-depth interview to Rolling Stone, and the resulting profile is full of fascinating tidbits.
For instance: Jackson has 50 tattoos. She’s already survived drug addiction and multiple suicide attempts. She’s dating a drummer who used to have a Confederate flag tattoo. She grew up not knowing her mother. And, despite all rumors and appearances to the contrary, she insists that she is certain that she’s Michael Jackson’s biological daughter: “He will always be my father. He never wasn’t, and he never will not be. People that knew him really well say they see him in me, that it’s almost scary.” She also says, “I consider myself black,” adding that her father always raised her to be proud to be black.
But perhaps the most notable moment of the story is the part where Paris insists that her father was murdered: “It’s obvious. All arrows point to that. It sounds like a total conspiracy theory and it sounds like bullshit, but all real fans and everybody in the family knows it. It was a setup. It was bullshit.” She also speaks derisively of Dr. Conrad Murray, the doctor who prescribed Michael the sleep medication that killed him, and of AEG, the promoters who were working with Michael on the run of shows in London that Jackson was planning to launch when he died.
