Spotify has reached 60 million paid subscribers, according to a new report from Reuters. The streaming company announced back in March of this year that they had hit the 50 million mark, which means that they’ve added 10 million subscribers in the past five months.
This puts them pretty far ahead of their biggest competitor, Apple Music, who as of early June boasted 27 million subscribers. Pandora’s Q2 numbers were also just released, and they have 4.86 million total paid subscribers, and their new Pandora premium tier doesn’t seem to be doing too hot.
Wonder what Spotify is doing about all those “fake” artists!
