This makes sense. She sounds like she was probably a nightmare boss who deserves the lawsuit, but I also empathise with the sheer amount of shit she had to put up with even before that, and then comparatively had a far worse “cancellation” after she’d actually done something bad than a lot of people in similar positions because people were already looking for reasons to hate her and I imagine people who do not give a shit about the welfare of her backup dancers were enjoying the pile on just because it was a fat black lady who wasn’t ashamed of it, which seems to be threatening to a large amount of society. Nobody is innocent here (except the backup dancers), and nobody wins (except the trolls).

I don’t like her music and wouldn’t miss it myself, but I know there are a lot of people who would. It makes me really sad reading “I’m starting to feel like the world doesn’t want me in it” I know that feeling and wouldn’t wish it upon anyone. I hope she can find some peace. Maybe she can hook up with Andre 3000 and make some ambient flute music and zen out for a bit.
