Humble brag—completed the Chicago Marathon yesterday. And of course Sia was playing on the pump up playlist. Her anthems are inescapable for people to get hyped between “Titanium” or “Plastic Heart.” To my ears it’s all a bit much but people were getting pumped up to her music yesterday. “Cheap Thrills” I think had success because it was a surprising counter to her anthems, also it hit the right sweet spot for nostalgia for Sean Paul. It’s just a fine song, a little plodding. 5/10
