I still remember when I was in high school, 11 yrs ago, when angrily threw away my Sex Pistols cd because I found out they were all huge racists. Back then I was young kid filled with ideals who couldn't separate the art from the artist.
Thee Oh Sees have, probably, the most original sound of any modern indie rock bands going right now. And even like 12 or however many albums in, John Dwyer still manages to make every album sound fresh and unique.
Actually he's not. And if you were at a Kanye show then you weren't hating him before everyone cuz I've been hating on that talentless douche since his second album.
Fuck Mushroomhead!! Fuck them and anyone who's a shitty enough person to know these things about the band and still buy tickets to their shows and buy their music.
None of these sets are interesting at all except the Pavement one. You could've at least included Courtney Loves fiasco with Kathleen Hanna while, I think, Sonic Youth was playing. And yeah I think most people would agree with Malkmus that the '95 line up was a hell of a lot better than the '94 one.
I'm glad someone who has the platform finally said something. I'm not much of a fan of his music but the dude is smart as hell. I can't even explain how psyched I am that he spoke up while all you idiots, Stereogum and pitchfork included, just buy into all this bullshit that somehow qualifies as music, news and entertainment. Wake up garbage people!
When someone says that all lives matter they shouldn't have to say that they're not supporting a movement. It's fucking idiotic that you people think that's necessary. Context isn't necessary when stating a simple fact like this.
How in the fuck do I get one of the most down voted comments of the week for saying that all lives matter? Hahaha I wasn't supporting the All Lives Matter Movement I was just stating the fact that everyone's life matters. Jesus fuckin Christ man. You people need to calm the fuck down!
You guys along with ever other site has been saying we're at peak vinyl for like the last 3 years but it still keeps going strong. I live in a pretty small town in California and we've received 4 new record stores since last winter.
