Nope, it was inspired by James Brown. Look up the song "Blues and Pants"
3 days and only 7 groups worth seeing. A waste of money. I'd be pissed too if my band had the small ass print.
I'm laughing when this falls through because of Dre.
The Chase Part II is my go to song. That three song stretch of Keep It Rollin', The Chase Part II and Lyrics to Go is so fucking smooth. I hate that rap albums like this aren't being made today. Quality product throughout.
One of the greatest albums ever! Who else has a one, two punch like ATCQ in their discog?
Wu-Tang Forever better. 36 Chambers was dope though. I played ATCQ, De La, Souls of Mischief, Snoop and other albums more.
In Ghost Colours made me a fan but I have definitely lost interest in these guys music since then. The last album had a few songs on it but this one is just one long ass song with the exception of Dark Corners & Mountain Tops. Maybe they need to work with Tim Goldsworthy again.
"Dark Corners & Mountain Tops" is my favorite song so far.
I'm listening to an album I don't like. I expected better.
First half is dope. Second half is recycle bin material.
Basically meeting contract requirements. Justin didn't really want to do these albums.
I'm sure we listen to some of the same music. Just not this group.
Album of the week here. 8.5 at Pitchfork. 8 of 10 at Spin. The machine is definitely working! I'm listening but I'm not hearing it. Sounds like Disney Pop with an edge. The chick's voice is annoying after a while.
The Cypress Hill/Sonic Youth collaboration still gets regular rotation today.
I really love this woman. I wonder if she'd give a brotha a chance?
First Spin. Now Stereogum. Wonder what Pitchfork will say about this album next week. Not sure what people want from MGMT. I dig the album a lot. Can't wait for my copy to come in the mail on Tuesday.
Spin has already $hitted on this album. Wonder who's next? I dig the album though.
It's solid. Dude don't be rapping about shit but I dig some of the beats.
Four words, Hits from the Bong!
Checkout Time has always been my favorite song from them.
Jay on cruise control. Some of the production is cool but he'll get a pass because he's Jay. Anybody else releases this album and we'd call it what it is, BORING!
Only feeling two tracks. "Bound 2" and "Guilt Trip". Ye my n!gga but you can't put syrup on shit and convince me it's good. Hope he rebounds on the next LP.
It's cool. Not liking his sound that much post MBDTF. I'm sure this album will grow on me a little.
I remember getting this at the virgin megastore it Disney World. So many great memories attached to this album. It was definitely my soundtrack during that week. This is probably my third favorite Radiohead album. Where I End and You Begin is a top five Radiohead song IMO.
These were good but the naive little sheep will gobble this up like it's something deep. PE, PRT, Brand Nubian, etc have done pro black much better than this. Kudos to Ye for using his position to try and say something at least.
I'm diggin the laid back feel. Thought the album was all gonna be like the first single. Liking this more than I thought I would.
"Hudson" is constantly tugging at my eardrums.
I was introduced to her music in 2000 and she quickly became one of my favorite artists. I love this woman!
Illadelph Halflife middle of the pack record?! Yeah, leave rap albums alone Stereogum.
LO L @ Vol. 3 being the best Jay-Z album. You guys just need to stick to indie/rock albums. This is easily one of Jay's more inconsistent LP's. Anybody rating this higher than RD loses all credibility.
