About what I was expecting. Better than "Blow" but not as good as "Your Love is My Drug".
Kind of an unlikely pairing but I love it. Great song.
Pretty cool. Reminds me of "Twin Peaks" for some reason. Everyone on here is gonna hate it.
This is a really stupid topic to get up in arms about. No one is getting taken advantage of, or being forced to do anything against their will, so I don't see why everybody's so upset at her.
haha That seems to absolutely be the case.
Steve Albini is like, weapons grade "whiney bitch", the likes of which would put Billy Corgan to shame.
I love Tanlines. This is a huge improvement on the original.
Worst cover ever? Maybe.
This is probably my favorite Courtney Love Twitter outburst ever.
I really do think it's mostly a demographic thing. Younger people are not buying albums much these days. Why would they when they have stuff like Spotify and good, old-fashioned piracy?
I agree. Didn't live up to my expectations from the past couple years.
Fuckin' love that song.
She's a fascinating character in the music scene right now. Mostly because of how despised she is. At least I find that interesting; she's done very little other than a little plastic surgery, a painfully average album, and a bad performance on SNL and people are always eager to rip her to sherds. It's interesting.
The video really is beautiful. I really dig the whole JFK/Jackie O in the modern age concept; I thought it was pulled off really well. And how fuckin' cute are those kids, right? As for the song, I really liked the early incarnation of it, however the version that made it onto "Born to Die" really accentuates how trite some of the lyrics are.
I like the idea of a Ryan Adams-produced Liz Phair album. I'd be interested to hear that if it came to fruition.
I'm really excited for this. I'm interested to hear what Lykke Li, Tame Impala, The Kills, and MGMT do with their respective tracks.
"The House That Heaven Built" is truly badass. "All of Me" by Tanlines is another one I've been jamming to a lot this summer.
Obligatory Tiesto griping about how much I hate Tiesto.
I'd be cranky too if I was secretly in love with Courtney Love.
Not to hate on Beyonce, because I really do like most of her stuff, but "Crazy in Love" is not nearly as awesome as mainstream music types would have you believe.
No Santigold? Really? I'm really loving "Master of My Make Believe". Meanwhile, while I like the new Cloud Nothings well enough, it isn't better than either of their previous albums.
She does whatever the hell she wants these days, and I have to respect her for that much.
Who's actually listening to this dude?
STOP THE PRESSES! FLYING LOTUS IS TEPID ABOUT THE NEW BEACH HOUSE RECORD!
Tiesto has never, ever made a competent remix or even remotely interesting remix.
PS, anybody who ever heard "The Ocean" saw it coming.
So good for her, yes, no question. What the hell?
The top 10 is actually a lot better than I was expecting it to be. Kudos.
Well, I myself expected to like it anyway (I like Foster the People and Azealia Banks and I don't hate Lana Del Rey the way most folks do). Azealia Banks really pulls this together nicely.
Glee ruins everything it touches. Fact.
I like this version a lot better than Kasabian's. Wish Kasabian would have done "Video Games" this much justice.
I'm actually really fascinated with this meeting-of-the-minds... well, maybe "fascinated" is a little generous. "Amused" is probably a better word of it.
Man, these guys are just falling apart.
