I think it's a beautiful cover...but she's a beautiful lady so maybe I'm biased.
You forgot the list the week's best/worst comments list. I'm sure this will be featured on the latter part.
Fair enough, until TMZ shows me Ben Gibbard's monthy grooming expense report I would have to assume that his ass is hairy.
Thanks for the info, TMZ, but what I'm really waiting for is the sex tape!
I used to squabble the same way when I was a little girl, over Barbies. They'll grow out of it.
Bon Iver? Maybe his record was scratched...
Oh he didn't need to explain. I just figured he was off drugs and booze and this was the result.
I would LOVE to win this. I need me some Tori.
I love this album. I think people expecting more of For Emma should understand that album was a snapshot in time, I don't think that sound could or should be recreated. Justin Vernon has done a magnificent job of growing and exploring as an artist. That, my friends, is what good music is all about! I'm in love!
Crawling Back to You is one of my favorite Tom Petty songs. To hear Justin Vernon sing it is so incredible and haunting. He almost sounds like a touch of Neil Young.
I'm embarrassed to admit I looked this up -- but it's tastebuds.fm. In case anyone is interested.
She needs to eat a hamburger phone.
Time will tell, but I can remember as far back as OK Computer, with each release there being this aura of the possibility that the newest album might not be as amazing/earth-shattering/revolutionary as the last. Later, sometimes years, the dust settles because we've held our breath long enough to let it. I think Radiohead will always have these sort of albums where some claim genius and others cry foul. I think as time passes all their albums seem to age well like (I hate to make this comparison) wine....or cheese, but that's not as pretty sounding.
Beautiful! Can't wait for the album. It's been too long!
James Taylor, self titled album.
I'm down with OutKast and Radiohead headlining. I'd love the National to play 2011 as well.
I kind of wish they'd go on a long anticipated "break" like the Foo fighters.
I'm not listening to the leak, but it's complete torture waiting for this album to come out. I've never been so excited for any album in my life. I can't wait for the stream on Friday. I just wish they were doing more tour dates, they don't have any in Portland last time I checked.
It seemed to me the crowd liked Congratulations, but Andrew was clearly on drugs. Best weekend ever, surprised to see Jay Z watching Beach House, maybe he'll sample them soon.
These guys can do no wrong, each album seems more amazing than the last.
The lyrics are phenomenal, Matt writes in a unique, almost casual way that is poignant and emotional without being preachy or pandering. The composition of their songs is brilliant, violin, horns and amazing drums. Everything is so complex yet at the same time simple, truly they make art not just music.
I wasn't getting sick of the Fallon video over and over again, but I'm happy you posted these. I fucking love this band.
Oh my god I've been waiting for something new. Their music is so sincere and tangible. I love this song and I am giddy for the album.
I like it so far. They're experimenting with different sounds and influences, expanding as artists hopefully. I can't wait for more.
This is so depressing, he was brilliant. He will be truly missed.
Oh good, I'm seeing them next month and wasn't sure how they would be live. Epic, it seems like.
I like it! I'll probably check out the older albums as well, but this is lovely.
