I don't see why fans glorify Pinkerton. It was hailed as crap when first released and time has not changed that. The superiority that is the blue album will never be overcome.
Pretty decent list but 'I Want to Hold Your Hand, Yesterday and Come Together' should be much lower on the list.
As a stereogum commentator (whose opinion should be held in high regard) I would put 'I Want You (She's So Heavy), Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds and/or Across the Universe much higher. But with the amount of great Beatles songs, it's hard to narrow it down to the top 10.
Never cared for this "chillwave" genre crap. I tried with Neon Indian and it didn't click. It just sounds so plain and unoriginal. "Sundriped" for example sounds like a cheap knockoff of the "Reading Rainbow" television show theme song.
Her music was good at first...now she is just trying too hard to push that "I'm original" angle which is not working anymore. I'd say it sounds like a failed R&B song of a wanna be Crystal Castles group.
It's about time Stereogum retrieved more info on this young gent. I managed to catch him during his Bootleg shows in February and he was amazing. Can't wait to snag his latest album.
I know right? I thought I was pompous with regards to music but there has not been a single Jack Johnson fan I have met that didn't sound self-righteous for liking the guy.
The internet is serious business and you should hold every comment accountable to how you are as a person depending on how it was up- or down- voted lol. Who gives a crap about downvoting or upvoting anyways onto the Wolf Parade. These doods never fail to impress and this album is another fine piece to add to their indie legacy.
