New music: Jack White – Love Interruption It was always going to happen, wasn't it? Sooner or later, serial collaborator Jack White was going to run out of people to work with (Brendan Benson! Alicia Keys! Insane Clown Posse!) and have to release a record all by himself. His solo album ...
Hear Jack White's new solo single 'Love Interruption' on NME.COM White also played US live dates with The Raconteurs, his band with Brendan Benson and The Greenhornes' Patrick Keeler and Jack Lawrence, last September. I love how MTV treats this as “news.” I mean, Benson and White have had a collaborative relationship that goes back at least to “White Blood Cells,” Benson produced the b-side of the “Hotel Yorba” single, and opened for them on a tour in spring 2002.
Yeah, I’ve heard a lot about Mr. Benson but the only song I’ve heard is that “Tiny Spark” one, which I really dig. Is his other stuff in the same vein as that song, with the 60′s harmonic pop feel?
check out Brendan’s first record, from 1996, “One Mississippi”, it not only totally blows the shit out of his sophmore release, Lapalco, but it’s also one of the best power pop records of the last 10 years.

With that said, Brendan Benson = awesome.
The White Stripes often perform “Good to me” (off Benson’s album Lapalco) live, they also released it as a b-side to 7-Nation Army i believe.
Brendan Benson is really awesome and quite underrated.

is this a new recording of “alternative to love”? or the same one that was on the metarie ep? excited for this new album either way…
You can usually pick up “One Mississippi” for a dollar in most used CD stores. I’ve never seen a copy that wasn’t a promo, even.
BB has been criminally overlooked for years. Hopefully this can jump start his career.
Saw Brendan supporting Keane on Sunday night. He was actually pretty good live – I’m definitely getting one of his albums for Christmas.
Both of Brendan’s albums are awesome. Neither “blows the shit out of” the other, IMO. But they both BTSOO most albums out there!
Thanks to author for this blog, it was realy excite. Read my blog to.
