Arcade Fire Further Tease Reflektor With NYC Mural

Here’s another piece in the Arcade Fire-Reflektor puzzle, or what Michael calls, “The very obvious, but unconfirmed, truth”: Arcade Fire fan Twitter account @ArcadeFiretube has posted a picture (seen above) of a mural in NYC neighborhood Soho confirming that the band is linked to the Reflektor campaign and something of it will manifest, as we previously reported, on 9/9 at 9PM. The album is slated for release on 10/29 and Rolling Stone and Entertainment Weekly have confirmed in print that title is, in fact, Reflektor, but we do not have any official word on what is being teased in the mural. @ArcadeFiretube also tweeted that “Heart-shaped Box” and Control director Anton Corbijn will be responsible for an Arcade Fire music video, the release of which is perhaps being teased by the mural. Corbijn’s last music video was for an alternate version of Coldplay’s “Viva La Vida” in 2008. We will report more details as they come.
