  1. Mmmm… snappy.

  2. As it started I was a bit unsure…but it’s in my head now. Slick groove. I’m sorta hoping for a bit more metal crunch on this album. I liked the direction they were going in with Reign Of Terror. Butt rock with a bubblegum flair. (Bubble-butt rock??)

  3. Sleigh Bells always sound like…Sleigh Bells. To me that can’t be bad :)

  4. Yup, I could dance to this. Fits more tonally with Treats than RoT–I’m okay with that, too, because Treats is my go-to party album.

  5. There isn’t much to dislike about it, but it sounds to me to be very much an extension of Reign of Terror‘s sound and the jock-jam aesthetic of their image during that album. Looking forward to what angle they pull off with their visuals and apparel is right up their with their music, so I kind of miss not seeing much different yet from Alexis and Derek since they’re still wearing the leather jackets, jerseys and shades just as they were last year.

    • I thought the same thing, and they are releasing it fairly quick after the last one too. Whenever that happens, I’m always inclined to think “Last Album Sequel.” I loved Reign of Terror though.

    • It feels a bit too safe and, kind of, like a step backward.

      • That’s my only fear. That’s why I’m hoping for a little more meat. There’s only so much they can do with this sound, which they must understand releasing another so fast. But I think they could do some great stuff with an even more “metallic” sound. Get even heavier with the riffs, and even nastier with the beats. I’d love that.

  6. Sleigh Bells AND Doldrums on tour!? Well I know what I’m doing November 10th…

  7. This makes me so happy. Definitely was not expecting this in 2013.

  8. A good time… if I can get over the god awful lyrics.

  9. I like it but I’m seriously worried this track is gonna be another “Gold on the Ceiling” .. I mean he’s wearing LSU attire and playing a tiger guitar. It’s like foreshadowing.. or something.

  10. If Joel Schumacher had directed The Dark Knight, this would be Joker’s theme song. I mean that as a compliment.

  11. Well that was 3:29 I’ll never get back. Only thing that saved it for me were the wild fantasies I was having while watching Alexis.

  12. Alexis looking hot as usual.

  13. I’m endlessly amazed people find anything to like about this duo. A girl and guy acting tough while they sing Mickey Mouse club melodies over compressed guitar loops and beats. This is especially bad though. The cringe-worthy video doesn’t help matters.

    • “A girl and guy acting tough while they sing Mickey Mouse club melodies over compressed guitar loops and beats.”
You basically described their appeal, actually. That doesn’t sound awesome to you? Maybe seeing them live would help you. Just be sure to bring ear plugs. Not that they’ll help.

  14. I just like the Tale of Two Cities quote…
