Following in Taylor Swift’s footsteps, Drake’s If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late has become the second album in 2015 to sell over 1 million copies, and the first album that was actually released in 2015 to cross over the million mark. (1989 was released last October.) Billboard reports that, after adding 8,000 copies at the end of last week, If You’re Reading This currently sits at 1.007 million copies sold in the U.S. It still trails 1989, which has sold 1.463 million this year alone and 5.124 million total. Drake’s other three albums — Nothing Was The Same, Take Care, and Thank Me Later — also all crossed the million mark, with Take Care having the highest sales at 2.26 million.
Drake’s still expected to drop another album, Views From the 6, later this year.
