We loved Natalie Prass’s sumptuous self-titled debut, and so did the rest of the world. Danny Brown has named it one of his favorite albums of 2015, and now disco-tinged California production duo Classixx have paid tribute by recording a cover of her song “Bird Of Prey” for Valentine’s Day. It’s a bit of an odd choice for a Valentine’s Day song — sure, it’s about love, but Prass paints the central romance in terms of a predator/prey relationship. Classixx’s version works, though, turning the song into a burbling dance track featuring vocals from Joe Keefe. Listen below via Pitchfork.
