Daniel Rossen, Christopher Bear, & The National – “Terrapin Station (Suite)” (Grateful Dead Cover)

The Aaron and Bryce Dessner-curated Grateful Dead tribute album Day Of The Dead is imminent. We’ve already heard a bunch of contributions from the War On Drugs, Courtney Barnett, Bruce Hornsby & DeYarmond Edison, the National, and Phosphorescent & Jenny Lewis, and today we’re getting another new one from Grizzly Bear’s Daniel Rossen and Christopher Bear and the National. It’s a cover of the entire “Terrapin Station” suite from the 1977 Dead album of the same name. Other contributors to the track include Josh Kaufman, Conrad Doucette, S? Percussion, and the Brooklyn Youth Chorus. Listen below.

Day Of The Dead is out 5/20 via 4AD. Check out the full tracklist and read our cover story on the National.
