Scottish synth-pop trio Chvrches have been busy working on their allegedly very poppy third album with Greg Kurstin, but they broke their year-long hiatus from the stage earlier this week. As a part of the Holiday Variety Show at Los Angeles’ Fonda Theatre, Chvrches frontwoman Lauren Mayberry and synth player Martin Doherty performed renditions of Joni Mitchell’s “River” and Cyndi Lauper’s “Time After Time” along with Chvrches’ own “The Mother We Share.” Watch below.
