	Sorry friend but I disagree here. Between Lizzo, Ariana, LDR, etc., artists lashing out at writers has reached a peak of obnoxiousness this year, and I don’t think the backlash to that is just insecurity. It’s rightful annoyance with artists who conflate any critical engagement with being attacked, and can’t seem to comprehend why it matters to have anyone discussing their work with any more depth than what their stans put out on Twitter. It’s childish and thoughtless and in that way it’s pretty much the same to me as what Lizzo did hear (which after all was not a hate crime it was just Lizzo unleashing her inner White Lady Who Wants to Talk to the Manager)
