My eyes glazed over my ghost left my body and I was still somehow only 3/5ths of the way through this article
Return to Wookie Mountain
"This assumption is also based on the fact that the YMCA was apparently being used as some sort of gay hangout and since one of the writers was gay and some of the Village People are gay, the song must be a message to gay people. To that I say once again, get your minds out of the gutter."
Gays and gay related things automatically equals gutter.Dude's a piece of shit.
You can’t assume it’s a gay song just because it’s about a gay cruising spot and I wrote it with a gay guy for a gay band who made gay albums!!!
God, it’s just going to be four years of this lol

(The following hyperbole is an homage to the end of the year lists by cokemachineglow [the site that showed me Women and Cindy Lee])
As the end of year album of the year comment section always proves: music taste is subjective. I think that’s true to a point. Sure, you like what you like and let nobody make you feel any different and all that. But there’s a reason we elite music listeners compare notes here at the end of the year: to see if we can find some objective picks.
It doesn’t always happen and I’m not sure it will happen this year. Nevertheless, there has been one thought floating around my head all year that will surely upset someone.
Diamond Jubilee is objectively the best album of the year. For the first time in a long time, I strongly feel that NOT agreeing with this is just plain wrong. I know. Get mad. You’re wrong. Diamond Jubilee is not only the best of the year, it is the best of the century. I’m saying this from the future in the year 2100. It’s already on my gravestone: Here Lies Raptor Jesus. Diamond Jubilee AOTC.
It is everything I’d ever need from an album. Two hours of infinitely listenable songs that vary in style but walk the fine line of keeping balance throughout its aforementioned TWO HOUR runtime. It’s an absolute marvel. It’s a miracle. Nobody expected THIS from Cindy Lee. Nobody has made a double album this good. I relistened to Mellon Collie & The Infinite Sadness. I relistened to the White Album. Diamond Jubilee reigns supreme. If it isn’t scientific fact to you now, I will be accepting future flowers on said gravestone in the year 2100 when you do realize.
All this death talk should explain my number two. Fun year for music, even if the rest of it was all besides the (diamond-tipped) point.
