There was a lot of drama and lawsuits with his x-wife/Soundgarden manager as well. Sounds like Cornell had a type?
Good Lord. The irony in this post is almost as insufferable as the Pingrove "apology" over nothing. The language of this reeks of the visual of pony tail tail Harvard guy in Good Will Hunting.
Besides the previously mentioned artists I'm also hearing some Les Savy Fav in there. Good stuff, thanks!
Looking on their Instagram people seem to be implicating Cole. Haven't heard the accusations of what happened either though.
Really dug this band, such bummer neww to hear during shit times. Inner Journey Out was one of my most played albums of 2016. RIP and thank you for the music.
Maybe I am just super old, out of touch, or the fact I listed to a bunch of MF Doom today but is this really just what happened above for a "hit song"? People actually like this type of hip hop/rap? Iced up, ice watch Woah, woah Bad bitch, poke it out (woah) Poke it out, poke it out (woah) Bad bitch, poke it out, poke it out, poke it out (bitch) Fat ass, poke it out, poke it out, poke it out New watch, ice watch, check it out, check it out New Glock, my Glock, poke it out, poke it out Air it out, air it out, showin' off, showin' off Bad bitch, bad bitch, poke it out, poke it out Poke it out (woah) Poke it out Poke it out Poke it out, poke it out Bad bitch, bad bitch, ass fat, uh, what Bad bitch, bad bitch, ass fat, uh Poke it out, uh, yeah Poke it out Poke it out (poke it out, poke it out, poke it out) Poke it out (poke it out, poke it out, poke it out) Poke it out (poke it out, poke it out, poke it out) Walk it… "
Woah, a dildagger to the rescue!
"Refunds of 50% of the base ticket price will be refunded"... am I reading this wrong? With fees that is probably only 33% after fees. Never heard of anything but a full refund.
Haven't been on Sub Pop since 2006. They left after their 3 record deal was up and signed with the biggies.
The Shins are on Columbia Records so that is a massive influence on this decision. Wincing The Night Away was their last on Sub Pop in 2006.
Free Everclear show here I come!
I was at the LA Friday show and while it didn't sound like the complete shit show of the Saturday one, they played pretty bad as well. I've seen them about 8 times before over the years however I left Friday really disappointed by their performance. The setlist was okay but they had zero energy, the sound was off, and they were really sloppy (not in a good way like they sometimes can get live). Maybe they are rusty from being off the road for so long or having Atlas Sound open up is too much for Bradford?
The $9 isn't so bad when you are ordering 4 LPs. I was able to grab Deerhunter - Cryptograms/Fluorescent Grey EP, The Walkmen - Everyone Who Pretended To Like Me Is Gone, Tame Impala - Innerspeaker, and Elliott Smith - New Moon.
Wow, the amount of people giving this shite a thumbs up on the You Tube page is 10,398 to 83 (probably all Stereogum readers).... we are vastly outnumbered.

Yup, Gary Wilson is a cult performance artist since the 70's and some of his songs are actually pretty good. Saw him in perform in San Diego where he lives last year. Beck name checked him in Where It's At, "Passin' the dutchie from coast to coast/like my man Gary Wilson rocks the most."
"Thematically, Cleveland channeled Washingtonian poet Richard Brautigan on 'You Disappear' and 'Oranges,' and sought inspiration from Charles Burns’ Seattle-set graphic novel Black Hole." http://www.thestranger.com/blogs/slog/2015/05/14/22219715/listen-here-la-luzs-new-single-you-disappear
My vote has to go to AA Bondy's great version from an early Tour EP. The stripped down lo-fi sound paired with his voice really capture the lyrics. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lB6CQIZfBbQ
Sarcasm... learn it, know it, live it, yo.
Good interview. Must be from a little ways back though since they tweeted (god I hate that word...) a few days ago that they are almost done mixing the 14 songs that are going to be on the record: http://twitpic.com/8fdbu3
