Not scandalous in the 80's? An entire political movement of censorship was created on a throwaway line in one of his songs. He has an album named Controversy FFS.
will enough boomers be alive still to see it?
That turned out actually way better than I thought it would.
I'm a "Let's Blow Up the Moon!" guy myself.
I always try to explain that skit to people and end up drooling on the floor.
Blue Balloon is classic Ween, don't ignore it.
You know they'd been playing that song for years before the Mollusk came out? Listen to Live at Cat's Cradle for a really early version.
The Mollusk may be my favorite album of the 90's.
Ween is the greatest thing mankind has ever produced.
I live here in Austin. I don't have much else to add, other than I've seen him a few times here around town. One thing to note: the Hi How Are You mural wall has been passed on and on to a few different businesses, all of which threatened to wash it off. All those businesses are closed. The latest one, which vowed to keep it, has prospered a bit. The name of the place is Thai, How Are You.
Dank being the operative word here.
I feel like the plague the prairie dogs have and the sickness the unwashed Phish fans bring with them will collide and cancel each other out. Have fun out there.
Great screen name btw
Austin shows agree with you. See y'all at Red Rocks.
anyone ever watch the Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt? When Titus gets cast into Cats and he realizes there's no actual lines, songs or plot, that it's been a made up thing for thirty years?
Listen to the Todd Rundgren remix of Elephant. It is superior to the original in ever single way.
That run from Atlanta to the Wheel was all great. Not a bad gig the whole time.
Page side here. He came out and stared at us while we were eating the chili fries.
I was front row day two and they brought us all food from the backstage area. I ate it, man.
Wait, they did I thought. I was at that show. I could have sworn they were saying Vernon.
It's all i can think every time an article like this pops up.
Call me old fashioned, but women voters? Cookoo!
NOOOOOOOOO
I was at those shows. They were a blast. The next year in 99, after HCA came out, they played a stretch of Do You Feel Like I Do? during 2001. "Bob Mayonnaise on the piano, Bob Mayonnaise!"
Let's let these young upstarts The Radioheads happen at their own pace. I think they're gonna be the real deal.
Is this a joke? No Two Headed Dog? Or Night of the Vampire? Two Headed Dog is the song he's fucking known for.
Those are some ugly ass t-shirts and socks.
