This week we brought you all sorts of scary content for Halloween. We gave you a service-y guide to budget pop star costumes, and reviewed an Insane Clown Posse show, and interviewed Diamanda Galás, and spent literally dozens of dollars on decorations so Sorority Noise and Chris Farren with Jeff Rosenstock could play spooky covers in our office. Most terrifying of all, we let one writer go long on Fall Out Boy. What’s your timely music-related costume gonna be? Wax Lady Gaga? Zombie Julien Baker? I’m going as a sexy smoke alarm.

	This is just downright sickening. I was a die-hard Crystal Castles fan right up until Alice left the band and not-so-subtly made reference to Ethan’s abusive ways. I figured it was real bad, but this is just grosser and more twisted than I imagined. There is simply no way to reconcile the Crystal Castles music from the predator who made it. I commend Alice for her bravery and wish her the best in her recovery, and I’m excited to continue to support her music. Very stoked to be attending her concert tonight, which I’m sure will be a rowdy celebration of healing and self-care. Calculated chaos and all. Much love and respect to her.

	I’m not surprised in the slightest about this as she has previously talked about being abused, and Ethan’s attitude after she left was very manipulative of Alice and her contributions to the band… but even then it just feels so much more gross than I would have expected it to be. Much love to Alice for her bravery, and I hope she’s doing better at the moment. I am, however, extremely worried about Edith.
