This is why I laugh at SJW's who think western society has a problem with equality. Go outside your bubble for a week and then tell me you wouldn't want to come back to America again. People think being a Nationalist is evil and we will all stay the same. What do you say to the Nationalist that loves the melting pot scenario of America? That melting pot idea of western society is super liberal, but in todays climate Nationalism is evil. I don't get it. When people come here LEGALLY and want to assimilate thats GREAT, thats America. The problem is when the illegal immigration is allowed then everybody loses.
Look I haven't liked an album since A Thousand Suns to be honest but I've just noticed a certain mean spirited reaction to their new album all over the place. Chester obviously felt it, he was aggressively defensive in almost all the interviews leading up to the album.
If the lead singer didn't demand respect every 2 min for being gay on twitter, i'd be excited. It's like we get it man, nobody cares anymore. Live and let live, stop living in 2002. Believe me tho, I love their music, I own their first 3 albums on vinyl but he just need to get over himself.
God I love them. They better not die out because they're all lazy. Flowers' new album is incredible, they should record right now since he has those creative juices flowing.
I'm so glad you wrote this article. When they announced Tidal yesterday the first thing that went through my mind was that Jay Z was just doing this to beat the Beats launch. This all feels forced.
Paul McCartney is the saving grace of this years line-up. Now, it's not terrible but, like someone else stated, really unbalanced. I guess part of my disappointment was believing the early leak having Modest Mouse and Kanye on the bill. Still, Paul kicking off the weekend will be EPIC!
None of this makes sense. Joe Walsh is playing on 1 track, who cares? Plus the show sounds very entertaining, especially for any music fan. I doubt he was really commenting on those 2 things, had to be a joke.
I agree with you 1000% The critique is very annoying. I live in Chicago and I've been to Lolla the last 5 years and haven't regretted a weekend yet. I understand people are bitching about the main headliners BUT look at all the surprises: Darkside, Blood Orange, Run The Jewels, The So SO GLos. Also, Arctic Monkeys more then deserve to Headline a fest in America, amazing live band. Cerebus has it right, Lollapalooza has always been about this type of lineup. Wasn't surprising for me at all.
I catch myself videoing all the time at shows, its certainly become a habit for a lot of concert goers. I end up almost always regret doing so just because I find that I cant remember the show as clearly, then if I didn't video. For that reason I'm glad bands are starting to enforce a no cell phone policy.
